The Media NEVER Fails

The War against Islamic Fascism is just as much a PR and media war than anything else. Everytime our President has a glimmer in his eyes about hope in the middle east our beloved media needs to remind us of the meaningless deathtoll number. Don’t get me wrong what our troops, our friends are doing in the middle east is not meaningless. The soldiers who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice should be remembered and honored. I’m numb to the number.

Iran Nuclear Deadline

My educated guess: Iran will continue to enrich uranium even after the deadline and they will have nothing to fear because the U.N. won’t impose any type of sanctions.

(Vienna, Austria) Iran has persisted in enriching uranium despite the threat of U.N. sanctions and a looming deadline to freeze such operations, U.N. and European officials said Wednesday.

The officials said Iran had continued to enrich uranium until at least Tuesday.

Its ongoing enrichment could act as a trigger for the U.N. Security Council, which had set Thursday as the final day for Tehran to freeze such activity.

The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because the information was confidential, said Iran had also snubbed overtures from world powers for a new meeting on its nuclear program.

Iranian defiance on enrichment will be detailed in a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency due Thursday.

The Iranian President surely seems comfortably while making this statement.

(Associated Press) “Sanctions cannot dissuade the Iranian nation from achieving our
lofty goals of progress. So it’s better for Europe to be independent in
decision-making and to settle problems through negotiations,
” hard-line
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, according to state-run television.

He made the comments during a meeting with Felipe Gonzales, Spain’s former premier, the television report said.

Iranian President wants TV Debate

(Reuters) Ahmadinejad condemned the U.S. and British roles in the world since World War Two.

“We think the special privileges that America and Britain are taking advantage of today are the origin of all disturbances in the world,” he said.

“Isn’t it time that international relations are founded on democracy and equal rights of the nations?

“I suggest holding a live TV debate with Mr. George W. Bush to talk about world affairs and the ways to solve those issues,” he said.

“The debate should be go uncensored in order for the American people to be able to listen to what we say and they should not restrict the American people from hearing the truth.

What are the privileges that we are taking advantage of? Is he referring to our own nuclear reactors? Or is there a hidden reference about the creation of Israel shortly after World War 2?

Very interesting to note that he says Americans would be watching the debate. Will the Iranians be able to watch this debate on state runned television uncensored? Probably not. I’m fairly certain the majority of Americans are not aware of the threat Iran poses. While the chances of this debate are slim to none I do not oppose the idea of having a program or press conference where our President can outline reasons why Iran cannot and should not have the ability to enrich uranium.

Saddam forced to watch South Park

(Yahoo News) Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is being made to watch his appearance in cult cartoon South Park while he is behind bars.

The deposed leader on trial in Iraq was featured in the movie spin-off as the lover of the devil. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut featured Hussein and Satan attempting to take over the world together.

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said US Marines guarding the former dictator during his trial for genocide were making him watch the movie “repeatedly”.

I have it on pretty good information from the Marines on detail in Iraq that they showed him the movie last year. That’s really adding insult to injury. I bet that made him really happy,” Stone said.

Did Saddam get a royalty check for appearing in the film?

JonBenet Ramsey Murder Saga

No charges are going to be filed against John Mark Karr after DNA samples couldn’t prove that he was at the scene of the crime.

“Because his DNA does not match that found in the victim’s blood in her underwear, the people would not be able to establish that Mr. Karr committed this crime despite his repeated insistence that he did,” District Attorney Mary Lacy said in court papers.

Drudge is reporting that John Mark Karr “will be held in jail to face child porn charges in California”

Iran one step closer to the bomb

That was quick…

(TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran has completed a new phase in its Arak heavy-water reactor plant, a presidential official said on Saturday, referring to part of Iran’s atomic program which the West fears is aimed at producing bombs.

The official said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would give a speech later in the day “announcing that the heavy-water project has become operational”.

Iran is building a heavy-water nuclear reactor at Arak, 120 miles southwest of the capital Tehran. The plant’s plutonium by-product could be used to make atomic warheads.

Updated: They promise to use the reactor to help diagnose cancer.

(KHONDAB,Iran (AP) – An Iranian plant that produces heavy water officially went into operation on Saturday, despite U.N. demands that Tehran stop the activity because it can be used to develop a nuclear bomb.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad inaugurated the plant, which Tehran says is for peaceful purposes.

The announcement comes days before Thursday’s U.N. deadline for Iran to stop uranium enrichment – which also can be used to create nuclear weapons – or face economic and political sanctions. Tehran has called the U.N. Security Council resolution “illegal” and said it won’t stop enrichment as a precondition to negotiations.

Mohammed Saeedi, the deputy head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said the heavy water plant is “one of the biggest nuclear projects” in the country, state-run television reported. He said the plant will be used in the pharmaceutical field and in diagnosing cancer.

President Ahmadinejad has this to say

“No one can deprive a nation of its rights based on its  capabilities,” Ahmadinejad said in his speech to inaugurate the  heavy water project.

“Iran is not a threat to anybody, not even to the Zionist  regime,” Ahmadinejad said, using Iran’s term for its arch-enemy  Israel, which the Islamic Republic does not recognize.

Same Article:

Iran’s deputy parliament speaker, Mohammad Reza Bahonar,  warned the West in comments published by Iran’s Sharq newspaper  on Saturday that putting pressure on the country could prompt  public calls for Iran to pursue a weapons program.

Be afraid of the day that the Iranian nation comes into  the streets and stages demonstrations to ask the government to  produce nuclear weapons to combat the threats,” he said.
